Who didn’t rely on takeout food being delivered at our doors during this pandemic and the ensuing lockdown? 

Most of us were grateful to still have food delivery service during lockdowns.

However, Georgia May Hibbert, a 10 year-old from a village in Great Britain, was not happy with the service McDonald’s offered in her area. 

So much so, she wrote out her dissatisfaction in a letter to McDonald’s to express her dismay! 

Upset over McDonald’s not delivering in her neighborhood, Hibbert offered them a “compromise”. She said if they were to meet her demands, a lot of other children would be quite happy and McDonald’s “entire company” wouldn’t lose a “lot of money” by not delivering there. 

This adorable girl wrote: “Dear McDonald’s. First, wow! Excellent food but I think it’s a bit unfair for the people who can’t get this delicious food.” “I’m currently self-isolating at the moment because I’ve been in contact with someone with Covid-19. So I’ve done COVID test, and for my reward, I was going to get a McDonald’s for tea.” 

“But after I got all excited about it, apparently you don’t deliver to my house.” “I live about 10-15 minutes away from the nearest McDonald’s restaurant and think it’s odd and disappointing that you don’t deliver to me and many other houses nearby,” read the little girl’s letter to the McDonald’s corporation. 

Did McDonald’s listen to her? 

That we don’t know.

But we do know if McDonalds ignored her request, the local Burger King in her neighborhood just picked up a new customer.
