A spooky little mysterious doll has creeped out Residents of a small Australian town.
The doll that sits on a swing near a mangrove swamp has been described as a “stuff of nightmare” and certainly “the last thing you would like to encounter” late at night.
So all 406 residents of Lucinda of North Queensland have been avoiding the spooky toy as they attributed it of foiling their fishing trips, and troubles with boats since the toy is placed near water.
Some even believe that the toy cast evil spells.
It has created Harry Potter’s “You Know Who” situation where no one would mention Voldemort’s name in fear. No one at Lucinda talks about the spooky doll although they know about it.
Hinchinbrook’s local political representative Nick Dametto told the press that “Everyone seems to know about the doll but nobody really wants to talk about it.”
As a result, the spooky toy turned out to be more unnerving and weirder.
They are scared to even say hello to it, said Dametto.
“This might be pure circumstance or just a modern wives’ tale but it’s something I’m definitely not willing to toy with.”
Dametto went on to explain how every single time he tries to ask about the doll, it always ends up raising more questions than it provides answers.
He said the doll’s provenance remains a ‘local mystery’ and most people living in the area are ‘wary’ of digging too far into what it is doing there.
However, one local business owner told the press that the doll was actually placed by a lovely couple to add ‘splash of colour” to the small part of their world.
It indeed did, but definitely not the way they expected.
